Here you will find a map of trails in the surrounding area
Sörboleden, 2.8 km
If you follow Dalavägen from the health resort down to Mariedalsån you will reach the old mill and the start of an incredibly beautiful hiking trail. Sörboleden is a real gem that in summer feels more like a tropical rainforest far away than a small forest on a “plain”, thanks to its sheltered location in the valley and the huge wooden ions that embrace the bridges and the water. Sörboleden is well worth experiencing all year round. In winter it is a serene oasis, with creaking white snow underfoot, the porland of the black water and streaks of rust-red iron that veins out of the ground where you can drink straight from the source.
Sörboleden is a Natura 2000 area and nature reserve and is an important part of the work for biodiversity. Here you can see, among other things, blue kingfisher, starling and starling. NOTE! The trail is not wheelchair and pram adapted, but there is a rest area with nice views just before the spans taper off, at the start of the trail.
Pilgrimsleden, Husaby — Skara 26 km
Pilgrimage dates back to the Middle Ages when the destinations were places such as Jerusalem and Nidaros (Trondheim) while today there are numerous pilgrim routes around the world. Then as now, however, it is healing for both body and soul when the silence, the slow pace and the beautiful nature invite reflection. In other words, a much-needed break from the intense world around us.
Pilgrimsleden, Falköping-Varnhem
The Pilgrimsleden trail runs through Lundsbrunn, side by side a stretch with Sörboleden. The whole hike can be done in stages as day trips or as long hikes and is full of both history and amazing nature experiences. Stay overnight at Lundsbrunns Kurort and continue your pilgrimage after an energizing and tasty breakfast!
Hallekis-Trolmen, 14km
Alternating trails that take you along the edge of the lake with access to lovely swimming, but also through the beautiful nature of Kinnekulle and past Råbäck Castle and Hälleki's seat with garden and café. The trail runs via small paths and roads and is moderately difficult. In May and June, the monk boots offer a sea of fragrant ramshallots, (but keep in mind that you are not allowed to pick in the nature reserve!) and up the stone steps next to the steeple you get on to the quarry with an incredible color contrast between the ancient red limestone walls and the turquoise blue waters of the small fishing lake. This is part of The Biosphere Trail which is a hiking trail that runs along the southern edge of Lake Vänern, between Mariestad and Läckö Slott. The trail takes you through a beautiful and varied landscape with viewpoints, archipelago, cozy town centers, history, cafes and well-preserved forest areas.
Lasses family trail, 3 km
Short and easy forest walk at the foot of Kinnekulle, near Källby, with good picnicking opportunities. A very nice excursion destination for small and large. The trail starts at Lasse in the cave of the mountain, a small stone house with the protruding rock as a roof. In the spring after the snow melts, the path leads further down to a beautiful small waterfall and a swarm of white seeps.
Sjöråsleden, 4 km
The trail starts at Falkängens Handicraft Village in Hällekis, where during the season you can both see and buy many different works of art and useful objects, most of them from natural materials and everything created with love and care. You then continue on through deciduous forest and along the river where you may be lucky enough to see beavers, or at least their diligent work. Both places to rest in order to enjoy nature and play-friendly oaks can be found along the path.
Kinnekulleleden, 45 km
A fantastic hiking experience that is happy to be taken in stages over three days and offers the different environments, history and cultural heritage of the hill. Stay overnight in suitable windbreak or tent sites or take into a hostel for the night. There is the possibility of several different shorter round loops for those who do not want to be outside for so long. Regardless of the extent of the adventure, it is nice to go back to Lundsbrunn when you reach the finish line and let your muscles recover in our spa.
See what's going on and find a moment to look forward to.
