At the beginning of the 20th century, we began to understand the importance of cleanliness, and bathhouses helped people wash away dirt, so-called scrofuls. Lundsbrunn was brought by the railway from 1887, and around the well a community grew up. Today, several of the buildings of the health resort remain and walking here is like a journey through time. Perhaps it was not only the water that gave health, but also the fresh air and tranquility — just as we want to give you today.

Lundsbrunn is located between Skara and Götene — in the heart of Västergötland — a few kilometres from the E20. From Gothenburg it takes about an hour and a half by car and from Stockholm about 4 hours.
If you take the train, get off in Skövde and take a bus or taxi the last bit.
If you choose the flight, you will go to Maloga in Trollhättan (about 45 min drive from us) or Landvetter (1,5 hours).

What are your opening hours over Christmas and New Year 2026/2027?
Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa has adjusted opening hours during the Christmas and New Year period. Here is what applies:
December 20
We close after checkout.
December 21–29
The entire facility is closed. This includes accommodation, breakfast, the restaurant, and the spa.
December 30
We open for check-in for guests who have booked our two-night New Year's package.
Please note that the spa is closed on December 30.
January 1–2
Packages and the spa are open according to our regular weekend schedule.
January 3
We close after checkout.January 4–6
The entire facility is closed.
January 7
We reopen for check-in, and thereafter we are open as usual.
Lunch service
Lunch service is closed throughout this period and will reopen on January 11.
Check-in for hotel guests is at 15:00. Please contact us in case of late arrival.
Check-out takes place no later than 11:00 on the day of check-out. In case of late check-out, you will be charged for an extra night.
We offer electric car charging points, but it is not possible to reserve them in advance. We will be happy to help you on the spot if you have any questions.
Do you have a children's menu?
Yes, we can make several adjustments for children of all ages.
Can I bring my dog to the restaurant?
We can usually arrange a table in our foyer or courtyard, weather permitting. Please contact us in advance.
Do you offer vegetarian options?
Yes, we offer vegetarian options.
What food and drinks are available in the spa?
In the spa lounge we offer tea, water, and fresh and dried fruit. If you’d like something more, you can order salad bowls (chicken, shrimp or vegetarian), as well as coffee/pastries and sandwiches via the spa reception. You can also order other drinks there, including alcoholic options.
If you’ve upgraded your booking, you can also be served a shrimp sandwich with hand-peeled shrimp.

Visiting with children?
Our spa is not designed for children. The age limit is 18, or 16 when accompanied by a guardian. For children aged 3–12, we offer Family Spa on selected dates. To use the pools, children must be fully toilet-trained and wear regular swimwear (no swim diapers). Children must visit the spa with an adult.
Can I visit the spa without staying at the hotel?
Yes. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, you can enjoy our spa and treatments. Spa entry from SEK 595 and/or a spa treatment can be booked.
